We are delighted to confirm that the AULP Annual Conference 2026 will take place on 18–19 June 2026 at the University of St Andrews.
As this marks AULP’s first conference held outside England, this year’s theme will be Beyond Borders. This is not just about geographical boundaries but also about thinking outside the box, going beyond limitations, constraints and divisions. The theme embraces the value of bringing together diverse cultures, perspectives, and approaches from across the sector.
Over the course of the two-day conference, delegates can expect a varied programme including keynote sessions, panel discussions, practical workshops, and valuable networking opportunities with colleagues from across the higher education legal community. The programme will align closely with the theme, exploring topics such as cross-institutional collaboration, emerging legal challenges, and the evolving role of university legal teams.
Further details on the programme and speakers will be shared shortly, but members can expect another engaging and insightful event set in one of the UK’s most historic and inspiring university locations.
In addition to the main conference, we’re pleased to confirm that the welcome event will take place on the evening of 17 June, offering an early opportunity for colleagues to connect ahead of the two conference days.
We look forward to welcoming you to St Andrews in June 2026.
